He's a Growing Boy!! (24+ Weeks)

Okay so I meant to update sooner but have been really lazy about downloading the pictures from the camera. :) Oops! So now that I have the pictures I thought it was time to post some of the them. It has been pretty incredible to be able to feel our baby moving around more each day. Jeff has finally been able to feel his little (or not so little at times) kicks/bumps now. Sometimes the kicks are so big. At our last doctors appointment he was moving so much it was hard for the doctor to get his heart rate. She told us we have a little acrobat. :)
Here are some pictures from when I was about 20/21 weeks along. We went hiking with friends and got to play with my camera.
Now for the most recent pictures. :) I am at about 24+ weeks.
We went to Glenn Otto park and got some fun pictures. :) The next two pictures are the same but I couldn't decide if I liked it in color or black and white better. :)

We're having a boy!!!

We had our ultrasound on Tuesday and got to see the baby moving all over the place. It is so amazing what technology allows us to see and do. The ultrasound tech. took a bunch of pictures and measurements of the baby. We got to see the heart beating and we got to find out the gender. We are so very excited to be having a healthy baby boy. Here are some of the pictures we got.

The little arrow is pointing to his "boy parts."

Here are a few pictures of my pregnant belly at about 18 almost 19 weeks along. :)

Save The Date of August 24th(ish)

So it has been awhile since we last posted. We just couldn't think of anything noteworthy to blog about until now. We are very excited to announce (we did on facebook too, this post has just taken longer to get to) that we are having a baby. Our little family is growing. :) We are due on August 24th. So here are the early ultrasound pictures of our little baby.
This is the 8 week ultrasound. The baby was just a little peanut but a cute peanut. :)
This is the ultrasound at 12 weeks. It is amazing the amount of growth that happened in 4 weeks.
So now that things are more interesting in the Cary world it will be easier to post more often. We will be finding out if the baby is a boy or a girl very soon so we will update when we know. Right now the baby is at about 18ish weeks which, according to a fun website, is about the size of a sweet potato. Next week the baby will be a mango. :)

Our House, Snow and Christmas

Okay so I thought I would get pictures of the house on here a whole lot sooner but I didn't seem to manage. I am really trying to get better at blogging more often. We are all settled in our house and have unpacked everything. We are still working on some organizing and that sort of thing but for the most part everything is done. It is so nice to have a place of our own finally.
This is our main floor and our Christmas tree.
Then we got a ton of snow. I am so thankful that we have the Subaru. All wheel drive let us go pretty much anywhere we wanted. We even braved the weather one day and went all the way downtown. I have never seen Portland covered in snow. It was pretty cool. So here are some snow pictures.
The beginning of the snow. Can you find the Focus? (This was taken when we had the most snow) Downtown

Here are a few more pictures that I took with my new toy and some of Christmas with family.

Frozen bamboo. Our niece, Lanie, getting ready to frost some cookies. The cookies. Our nephew, Beau, getting a bath before Christmas dinner and presents.

We Bought a House!!

Yeah!!!!!! We bought a new house and are getting all moved in. It is so exciting to get to set up a new place. I have to admit I am not thrilled about cleaning up the old place. Blech!! We are almost all the way moved into our new place. Moving has been kinda good in a way because it has forced us to go through things and get rid of some stuff. We have been moving little bits at a time so we can unpack as we go so that we are not living out of as many boxes (there are still some things that need to be unpacked). I will put pictures up as soon as I download them from my camera. :) It has been crazy busy with moving and what not. It is a very cute house and it is sooooooooo nice to be out of our apartment. The whole house buying process was interesting but I am glad it is over. I have never signed my name so many times as when we were signing on the house. I think there were some pages that we signed that said we were signing to say that we signed the previous page. :) I would try to describe the house but as they say "a picture is worth a thousand words." So until next time...

We're Still Here!

Wow, it sure has been awhile. We sure have been through a lot of changes since May. Jeff is now working for Lake Oswego School District. He is doing IT work for them. He is having a great time at his new job. He spends his days working on computers which he enjoys a ton. Jeff is also a college graduate. He graduated from Mt. Hood Community College in June with his Associates degree in Computer Sciences.

He made a very handsome graduate.

We also celebrated our 4th anniversary! We got to go stay the night in Cannon Beach. It is such a beautiful place.

Here we are at our hotel. It had very pretty garden areas. We got to walk around and hang out at the beach. The weather was amazing. Plus we got to hug at Hug Point.

We found flowers that matched my coat. It was amazing how much of a color match they were.

This is an old carriage road and our hug at Hug Point (it is our silly but fun tradition).

Okay It Has Been a Long Time

It has been so long since we updated this blog. What can I say, things have been crazy lately. School is winding down for me (the last day is June 11th- scary but yippee!) and there are so many things to get done in a short amount of time. I have to get in my last round of assessments on my little munchkins so that I can do their final report cards. I has been a good school year but I must say I am ready for a break. In other news, our school is still trying to find a new location. This has been an ongoing process since last year. We have found some property in Fairview and now we need to convince the planning commission to accept us. We have our hearing on the 27th, please pray that it goes well and our application is accepted. I am praying that things go through smooth so that we are not moving in the middle of next year. I would much rather move to the new school in the summer than in the middle of the school year. :) At the end of April our lives got a little more interesting. (I wait so long to update so that we have interesting things to put up for everyone. :) ) Jeff went into work one Friday morning to be told, unexpectedly, that he was to be let go from the bank. He had to turn in his keys right then and there, take his stuff and leave. We both went through a bit of shock. Jeff is still job hunting for something new and more up his alley. He wants to work with computers doing IT. (It suits him- we currently have 4 up and running computers in our home office plus a lot of spare parts :). You should see our little office- you would get a good laugh. ) On the sunny side, Jeff will be graduating on June 13th with his Associates of Computer Science. We are so excited!! I can't wait to be able to post pictures of his graduation. Well, that is what is going on in our neck of the woods. We hope this finds everyone else doing well. Happy Summer-- well maybe. I think our weather is a bit confused right now. One minute we have summer weather, the next we are back to cold and wet. But I think that is what we love about Oregon. :)

Photo Time

Here are some pictures from the boys' snow cave adventure. They sure did a lot of digging.
Now for some snowboarding pictures of Jeff and I. It was such a great season. Mt. Hood got a ton of snow this year. We look very stylish in our helmets.

Hot chocolate at the top of the mountain. Mmmmmm!!!

Here is a picture of Jeff catching some air. :)

Well, that is about all that we have been up to the last month. Now it is almost spring and almost spring break. :)
