Cooper at 13... no 14 months old!

So I have been a slacker in the blog department. Now I need to play a little catch up. :) Cooper is now 14 months old and quite the busy boy. He started walking just after his birthday and hasn't slowed down since (I occasionally get what I call "drive by cuddles" because they don't last very long). He has also mastered going down the stairs in our house. He is quite proud of himself when he gets to the bottom of the stairs all on his own. Cooper is still great at playing independently- it looks like an explosion of toys when he is done though. He is learning to pick up his toys too. It takes a little guidance but he will help put his toys in the toy box (then take them back out- we're working on leaving them in). He helps pick up before each nap and bedtime. Cooper now has 11 teeth- 3 of them are molars that he started getting right after he turned one. He still takes 2 naps a day which is great for mommy. :) He is somewhat saying a few words- mama, daddy (it actually sounds like daddy) and no. He is not always real consistent with them but I think they count as his first words. :) Cooper is also getting real good at feeding himself finger foods. He loves fruit, beans (black and pinto) and cheese. He recently figured out how to drink from a straw too. It is so much fun to watch him grow and discover new things (but sometimes I wish he would slow down just a little bit)!! I'm going to let the pictures show you the rest of what Cooper has been up to for the last 2 months. :)

September:

Zoo day with friends for Zac's Birthday.

The polar bear was cracking me up. It looks like he is thinking about what a day it has been.

Cooper watching the turtles swim.

Standing (and drooling) all on his own.

Maybe he was dreaming about flying. :)

"I know it is under there somewhere."

"I got it."

Eating lunch (and looking cute) and my brother's cabin in Washington.

"Let me out!" :)

The cabin.

Cousin Lanie on the porch swing.

Bath time fun. :)

In the tunnel at the science playground at OMSI.

More tunnel.

Being a squirrel and gathering acorns.

More science playground.

Lunch in the stroller at OMSI- looking all cute and innocent.

Step one.

Step two.

Step three- guess lunch wasn't quite enough. :)

Sand pit at the science playground.

Havin' fun in the sand!

Cooper's tunnel at home.

Silly face.

Playing at home.

"What? I didn't do anything."

Figuring out his snack trap.

"Ahhhhh, daddy's got me!!"

"Really, mom! More pictures of me in the tub."

"Oh, alright! I'll smile and look cute."

October:

Playing in the igloo tent at nana and papa's.

Napping with daddy on the floor.

Bubble bath- you can see his molar in the back.

Splash, splash, splash!!

He figured out how to push the button and make his power wheel go.

So focused- couldn't even get him to smile.

Sort of a smile but he really wanted me to move so that he could keep going.

Smile at last!

At the zoo watching the wolves.

(he looks a little bit like a garden gnome in this picture)

The Caracal at the zoo was finally out.

More Caracal.

Watching the Ocelot pace.

Grandpa and Grandma from Alaska came for a visit. Cooper has fun playing with his grandpa.

Group shots with grandpa and grandma.

I couldn't resist the silly bath hair picture.

"Howloween" at the zoo with our little tiger. A little damp but not bad.

Me and Cooper

Lunch time.

Running around after lunch and checking out the big leaves with daddy.

All done and ready to head home. :)

Playing with his toy box.

My little monkey!

In the box!

Looking so innocent!

That smile is so hard to resist.

Hehehe in the box!

Sitting at his little table.

Serious piano player.

Hut, hut, hike!!

Silly boy!

Looks cute in his hat.

Trying to put it back on himself.

I just thought the shoe is cute.

Little tiger at the pumpkin patch.

And he's loose!

Love the tail!

A Cooper sized pumpkin.

"I like this one!"

Cute face.

Cooper in a wee wheel barrow.
