What an exciting and
busy month August was!! We had a trip to OMSI, friend's birthday party, playing
at the park, car repairs, going to our friends' cabin, boating, playing at the
water park, BBQing with friends, hanging out with family and Cooper turning 2!
OMSI had a fun exhibit all about video games that Jeff and Cooper loved. It had
every kind of video game you could imagine from Atari to Xbox and
Wii. They even had a Pachinko machine like I played with as a kid (my parents
still have theirs) and Ms. Pacman. We enjoyed checking out the Narnia exhibit
and going to play in the science playground area too. Cooper's friend Mili
turned 3 and we had a fun time at her birthday party at the park. Cooper had
fun playing at the park and he befriended the sweetest little girl, Jane, who
helped him whenever he needed it. It was so cute watching them holding hands
all over the park. Then our Subaru broke down and Cooper and I were without a
car for over a week. Thankfully Jeff is so good with cars that he was able to do
the fix although it took a whole weekend to do since he had to remove the whole
motor. After the car was all fixed we got the chance to join our friends, the
Taylors, at their cabin by Lake Billy Chinook. We had a fun weekend of hanging
out and playing on the lake in their boat. Cooper loved going on a tube ride
with Jeff. Jeff got to knee board, wake board and wake surf. I even wake
surfed. I managed to get up on my second try but when I fell the surf
board came back and hit me in the head. I ended up with quite the goose egg on
my forehead and a huge headache. Needless to say, I was done for the
day and I went back to just taking pictures the rest of the weekend (much more
my preference anyway). Then we had a BBQ at the water park with our growth
group friends. It was so fun to watch all the kids playing in the water. Cooper
had a great time jumping into the pool to Jeff. Then at the end of the month we
celebrated Cooper's 2nd birthday. He had a great time with friends and family
at his party. I can't believe our little man is 2 now! Wow!
