January was a fairly quiet month which was nice after all of the holidays. :) All 4 of Cooper's eye teeth finally came through. He is still such a little dribbler that I'm sure he is working on more teeth- not sure which ones this time (don't want to get too near his little piranha teeth to look). He still quite the busy boy! He loves to play with any car he can get his hands on- such a boy! He has a few that you pull back, let go and they will go on their own that he has figured out how to work. He has also learned a few more signs. He will occasionally do the signs for more, drink and please (he has gotten a bit stubborn when it comes to please though). :) Cooper has started to use a fork and spoon with help. If we put something on the fork and hand it to him he is great at putting it in his mouth. He is quite proud of himself each time he does it too. It is quite interesting and entertaining to watch. I have noticed that he tends to use his left hand too. I wonder if he will be a lefty. This month Cooper, finally, got his first haircut. Nan, who cut Jeff's hair when he was little, gave him his first little boy haircut. She did a great job. Cooper, however, did not do so well. He cried, squirmed, cried, flailed and cried some more the whole time (as you'll see in the pictures). We tried everything to distract him and nothing worked (even another lady that was getting her hair done at the time tried to help- so sweet). I was amazed that Nan could even cut his hair but she did manage and it looks so cute. After he got home, had a bath and a good night's sleep he was a much happier camper. With his new haircut he looks so grown up- more of a little boy than my little baby boy. He officially looks like a toddler. Eek!! He is growing up so fast! The pictures are before, during and after the haircut followed by a few random ones.
How long his hair was wet.
Long hair boy!
Having fun with his last long hair bath!
Laying in the water.
Wild after bath hair!
Silly face
I just loved his curls!
Curls!
Silly face!!
Playing with his truck!
Rolling it to momma.
Curly boy!
Silly face again!
Playing with his pillow book.
Yummy ball!
A rare moment when he is actually sitting and playing instead of running around.
Tickle, tickle!!
"Hello, Cooper! How are you?" (He knows how to hold a phone.)
Silly boy at lunch!
Getting ready for his first haircut.
The first chop!
And the crying begins!
Trying to show him that it is all okay.
Not convinced.
Not even daddy's keys worked to distract him.
The cape came off and daddy is holding him facing him to see if that would help.
Nope!
Almost done.
All done but still not happy.
But it is a cute haircut. :)
Short hair no longer past his shoulders.
Faux Hawk!!
From the side.
Happy boy!
He has learned how to stick out that lower lip quite well.
Playing with daddy!
Using daddy to stand on so he can look out the window.
Up he goes- my little monkey!
Or should I say little kitty, climbing behind the curtain on the window sill.
Where is Cooper?
Oh, there he is!!
And back down!
His hair without being spiky.
Dancing with daddy!
Big hug!!
More standing on the window sill. This time checking out the snow.
Playing with Nana.
Sitting with Papa.
So serious!
Loves his bear!
