October- Leavenworth, Preschool Crafts & Pumpkins

October was a fun and very busy month. Jeff ran his first ever marathon with Jeremy Pietzold. It was in Leavenworth, Washington for the Oktoberfest. It was fun to get to go to Leavenworth. I had never been there before and it was neat to see the place where Jeff spent part of his childhood. Such a neat little town. It was also a great time of hanging out with Jeremy and Lisa and their family. We got to stay with them at Jeremy's grandma's place (she lives just outside of Leavenworth). It was so fun to stay there and meet his grandma! Also in October, I finished up my first round of teaching at our little preschool co-op with a fun craft day. We had been learning about apples and butterflies so we did crafts to go with those themes. We also took a few trips to the pumpkin patch since it was October after all. :) We had fun picking out our pumpkins. We even got to go in the corn maze with Uncle Vance, Aunt Katie, Lanie, Beau, Nana and Papa. We got to go on a tour of the pumpkin patch too. Cooper had fun volunteering to show how they pick the pumpkins but he didn't stay in line so he got fired. :) We also went to OMSI for a day to check out the Grossology exhibit. Cooper had fun sliding through the large intestines and playing with the fart sounds. Jeff had the chance to run another race. This time it was a half marathon in Hood River. And lastly we had Halloween. We went trick or treating around downtown Gresham and the various businesses. Cooper was dressed up as a race car driver with Lightning McQueen on it. He loved his costume! :)
