June! What a fun month! 22 Months and more!

June was a fun and busy month! At the very beginning of the month Jeff got a letter from the Lake Oswego School District offering him his job back. Yay!! We were so excited because Jeff's commute out to Beaverton every day was so long. Beside the commute being shorter to LO, the hours are better, the pay is better and so are the benefits. It was a huge blessing to know that at the end of June Jeff would be done working out in Beaverton. We took a little family vacation to Newport for a few days for my birthday, Father's Day and to go to the aquarium. It was a fun weekend! The weather was little wet but that is the Oregon coast in June. :) Our drive down on Friday was wonderful and sunny. Saturday's weather was wet so we decided to go to the aquarium. We got a little wet but had a great time checking out all the animals. After the aquarium went to the Rogue brewery for lunch to get my free birthday beer and t-shirt and our friends, the Pietzolds, met us there. Newport has two Rogues so we hit the other one for dinner that evening with the Pietzolds too. Sunday was sunny again so we went to the beach so Jeff could drive his RC truck and we could play in the sand. Jeff drove his truck around until he broke something (good thing parts are pretty cheap for his little truck). Cooper was not so sure about the sand. He did not want to be put down. He finally warmed up to the idea of his feet being the sand but definitely did not want it on his hands. (We had some other adventures but I'll let the pictures do the talking.) :) At the end of the month Cooper turned 22 months old. He is constantly learning new things and surprising us with new words (like iPhone) everyday. He can point out his belly button, feet/toes, hands/fingers, ears, eyes, nose, mouth and head when he is asked. He can say head, eyes, mouth, ears, and nose too as he points to them. However he clams up every time I try to get it on video. Now for the pictures:

 Rose Festival Floats:
We went down town to check out the floats the day after the parade. Here are a few pictures of my favorites.

All covered in flowers and plants. So amazing.

The theme for the parade was Mardi Gras.

Cooper and daddy checking out the floats.

Cooper looking cool in mommy's shades. You can see me in the reflection on the lens.

Family shot except Cooper is not looking. :)

Cooper and his Ikea stuffed truck and tractor. He was waiting for the flash.

Watching the sea otter swimming and bumping into the glass.

This seal was hilarious to watch. He would swim up and put his head where your hand was at on the glass.

More seal watching.

In the tunnels watching fish and sharks.

Touching seaweed and starfish.

Tired boy is all snuggly!

Lighthouse!

Walking up to the lighthouse.
