Walking!!!

Here are a few short videos of Cooper walking. He took his first solo steps (he has been walking holding on to things for a while now) on September 7th. He will walk some but still prefers crawling. Soon enough, I'm sure, he will be running everywhere. :)

The Birthday Boy-- 1 Year Old (12 Months)!!!

Wow! 1 year has gone so fast! My little baby boy isn't so little any more. During his 12th month Cooper has been busy. He is constantly busy (unless he is sleeping)! Cooper prefers to be down playing and moving around whenever he can. He is a speedy crawler and even speedier when he is using his push car to hold on to and walk. He zooms around the house pushing it and will take out anything that is in his path (including toes). Snuggles are a little harder to get from him these days because he just wants to go, go, go. (We still get snuggles every once in a while but they are pretty brief.) This past month, Cooper has started to let go of things to stand on his own some. Walking all on his own is getting closer- he just isn't quite ready to do it without something to hold on to. He will sometimes copy sounds that people make. It was pretty cute when he was copying Nana and saying "Uh-Oh." He is also starting to use some of the sign language that we have used with him. He pretty consistently uses the sign for "all done" when he is finished eating. He learned how to give 5 from his grandpa while he was in Alaska and he still loves to give 5 now. :) Cooper got two more teeth this past month so now he has 4 on top and 4 on the bottom! We celebrated his 1st birthday on Saturday the 28th at Glenn Otto Park (the park where Jeff and I got married at). It was a fun BBQ and the weather was perfect! Cooper and I went to the park the day before (on his actual birthday) the check out the picnic area and to take his 1 year photos. So here are a few of my favorites (I really had a hard time picking just a few), then some of Cooper's other fun times and pictures from his B-day party.

Showing Cooper how to push the button to make it go all on its own (it's a little power wheel jeep that can be pushed from behind or he can sit on it and use the button to make it go).

At home playing with one of his new toys.

Yay!! 1 year old and we're looking forward to what this next year holds!
